there are moments when you really want to blurt out or write something but you're just holding back because you're afraid that you might say something rude. Or maybe something you might just regret.

I presume being quiet is modest than backstabbing. And I have learned that when you have nothing good or nice to say then seal your mouth.

gossip or backstabbing has never been my forte. I enjoyed it for a bit but I never dwell. I know when it's just for fun and when it's really serious and when it does I stop and try to talk something else instead.

I reckon that being quite or not saying anything does not imply you're being immature or mature.
